AUTOMATIC DOOR / GATE ENGINEER

LOCATION: Working from home, this is a field-based role covering Yorkshire and Lancashire areas.  You will need a full UK driving licence.

SALARY:  £11.50 – £13.50ph plus unlimited overtime @ time and a half.  Potential OTE:  £35,000- £40,000 plus benefits, company vehicle, fuel card, mobile phone, uniform, specialist tools, career development, pension, 28 days holiday (inc bank hols) plus one extra day with every year of service.

HOURS: 8am-4pm, Mon–Fri, 37.5 hrs plus O/T

As an Automated Door/Gate Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out install, service and repair on a range of automatic Door and Gate entry systems on commercial and industrial properties.

This is a busy and varied role, responding to reactive repairs and breakdowns within set response times, providing friendly technical support to customers.  Working on a wide range of projects both individually and as part of a team, your role will be installation, servicing or repairs to automatic doors, automatic gates, pedestrian automatic gates, turnstiles, carpark barriers or access control systems, to high standards of health & safety and compliance.

As an experienced Automatic Gate/Door Engineer, you will have a strong electro-mechanical background, the ability to fault find and repair automatic gates and doors. Ideally you will have a recognised electrical qualification such as 17^th/ 18^th edition, IPAF licence or willing to undergo training to achieve recognised industry qualifications.

You will be a hardworking, self-motivated field service engineer/ technician, with good attention to detail and strong time management skills as well as the ability to communicate with customers and other members of the team effectively.
